THE FOUNDATION IS CURRENTLY UNDERTAKING A REVIEW OF ITS BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME. AS A RESULT IT WILL NOT BE AWARDING ANY NEW AWARDS IN THE 2008/09 ACADEMIC YEAR.
This page lists all the Foundation's bursaries and scholarships that are available at specific colleges and universities.
The Foundation particularly welcomes applications from students with disabilities or those with a background of having been in local authority care, as individuals from both these groups are under-represented in post-statutory education.
For further information about these grants or to make an application,
please contact the college or university direct.
Please do not contact the Foundation about these grants as the application
stage is dealt with by the colleges and universities.
To be eligible to apply individuals must be:
-
under the age of 25 on the day their course or year of study begins, and
-
a permanent resident of inner London* and have lived there for at least one year, and
-
from a low income background.
* “Inner London” means the boroughs of Camden, Greenwich, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth, Westminster and the City of London. Students who are living in London for the purposes of study (e.g if they moved to London from Birmingham or Liverpool when their course began) are not considered permanent residents.
Other criteria may apply to some of the bursaries and scholarships. Guidelines specific to each bursary or scholarship are available from the colleges or universities. In many cases Guidelines and Application Forms can be downloaded from their websites.
Where scholarships and bursaries are subject specific, details are listed below.
